Commission Information

Tue Jan 22, 2008, 8:45 AM
  • Mood: Artistic
:bulletred: For current availability and openings, check out the latest journal on my main DA page. :bulletred:

I will take no more than TEN commissions at a time. When the ten slots are full-up, I won't accept any others until one is finished and that slot re-opens. Also, I won't queue future commission requests if the slots are already full. This will keep things on a semi-sane level for myself and it'll ensure that nothing and no one gets accidentally overlooked. Please check my most recent journal entry to see if there are any open slots. First one to claim that newly opened spot gets it.

PRICES (USD$):
Each commission will include a 250dpi hi-res file unless otherwise noted

HEADSHOT/BUST:
1 character, Pencil sketched = $8 (*no hi-res file*)
Pencil-shaded sketch = $12 (*no hi-res file*)

1 character, Clean lineart = $12 (ex: [link] )
Shaded lineart = $20
Colored lineart = $25 (ex: [link] )

Shaded monochrome lineart (one color) = $25 (ex: [link] )
Hand inked (brush & ink, traditional media) = $30
Colored lineart = generally $40 - $70 (depending on styles, etc) (ex: [link] [link] [link] )
+ Background = add $5 - $40, depending on the complexity and medium

CHIBI, FULL BODY

PLEASE provide at least two reference images of each character, and a written description of what you would like! This makes it easier for me and also ensures that you will get what you want!

SUBJECT MATTER / STRENGTHS / WEAKNESSES:
I'm open to drawing almost anything. However I MAY refuse a commission due to subject matter if it's out of my comfort zone. In such a case, I will explain my reasons and we can either alter or drop the idea. And, yes, I do accept fanart commissions.

My number one strength lies in drawing human characters, especially women/females. I especially enjoy expressive faces and poses. I can draw animals and anthros with references, which I am fine with looking up. My favorite coloring medium is digitally in Photoshop (check my gallery to see if any of my coloring styles strike your fancy).

My weaknesses: Super-buff/muscular guys, huge anime eyes, big city scenes, painted/painterly work.

DIGITAL WORK:
Traditional media work will be scanned and worked at 250dpi. The finished product that I email to you will include a 250dpi hi-res version of the completed image and a smaller, resized image. The only exception to this is a pencil sketch. Sketch commissions do NOT include hi-res images and are only available at 100dpi, ranging between 6-9 inches in height.

IMAGE RIGHTS:
The image is obviously yours to keep and use wherever/whenever you'd like. Unless you want to buy exclusive rights to the image, I retain the right to post the completed image in my gallery with all the appropriate owner rights/links to you included in the "comments" section. If you do not want me to post your commission in my gallery, please discuss this with me at the outset. I'd really appreciate it if you linked back to me (if you decide to post it somewhere) but I wouldn't demand it or anything. That's purely up to you. :) Again, yes I will draw copyrighted characters (Mickey Mouse, Nightcrawler, Aang, etc).

PAYMENT:
Please wait until AFTER I tell you the price of your commission. After we discuss what you would like and I quote you a price you may either:

1) Pay half of the quoted fee BEFORE I start drawing anything, then pay the rest AFTER your picture is finished.
--OR--
2) Pay full amount of quoted fee UP FRONT.

I will not start on your picture until I have at least half-payment from you. I won't email out any hi-res or completed pictures until I have received the full payment. Should you choose to pay half now, half later, you may ask for small progress sketches. Once the picture is completed and I have received full payment, I will send you the 250dpi image and a resized image via email.

I accept PAYPAL payments only. My paypal account is phoenix_rising614@hotmail.com (the same as my email address). Please put your DA name (or similar info) in the subject area so I know which commission project to credit. Please don't send any payment until we have both talked about the commission and agreed on the price.

:iconphoenixelement:
Nope, sorry. That was a one-time thinger. I was working at less than minimum wage, because each picture took me about two hours total. That's like $2.50/hour.

They were pretty fun, and I might do something like that again when I have spare time and I'm doing okay on money. Because I do appreciate the people who watch my stuff and I know not everyone has the money or wants to pay for full-price commishes.

But for now. I really need rent money. So full price, sorry. :hmm:

If those photos of you I recently commented on are anything to go buy, all you should need to do is stand still and BREATHE and people should be showering you with money. Just don't go anywhere where they use those giant wheel-sized coins.
:iconsakura-kagurazaka:
When this "mortal panic" of yours passes (which i hope it does soon for your sake) I shall commission you for a peice. all the prices seem very reasonable for such wonderful art. If not, keep up the good work
